We know it can be an adjustment in the classroom for new students during their first few months at Covenant. That’s why we asked Logan, a new fourth grade student from this past year, about what it was like to be a new student at Covenant. It was a different experience than what he was used to, but with help from his teacher and the friends he made along the way, he was able to thrive!

What was your favorite subject to learn about in 4th grade?
I really enjoyed history. Learning about the middle ages and the renaissance was very interesting!

What was something different about being a student at Covenant?
Something that was different about being at Covenant was how teachers taught the material and how we were taught to learn.

What was your favorite thing to do at recess?
My favorite thing to do at recess was play football and talk with my friends.

What is something that surprised you about being a new student?
Something that surprised me about being a new student was how hard we had to work but how we learned so easily through working hard.

What advice would you give a new student coming to Covenant?
Some advice I would give to a new student coming to Covenant would be to ask questions. The teachers are really caring and good about getting you to understand anything you are having trouble with.

What three words would you use to describe being a student at Covenant?
Three words I would use to describe being a student are: loyal, respectful, patient.
