The Admissions Process:
1. Discover Covenant
We are delighted that you want to learn more about the joyful calling of classical Christian education at Covenant. We hope you have found our website to be helpful, but the best way to get to know us is to take a tour of our school in person. We want you to hear the joyful voices that echo down our Grammar School halls and to see the passion of our dialectic and rhetoric students as they wrestle with the great ideas of history. Our Admissions Director and Head of School would be pleased to meet you and answer questions that you may have.
Please contact our Admissions Office at Admissions@DiscoverCovenant.com or 717-540-9885 ext. 232 to register for a tour. We offer group tours on Fridays at 8:00am and 10:00am. You may also request information by filling out this Contact Form.
2. Deepen Your Understanding
We want to partner with families who fully embrace our Christ-centered classical curriculum. In order to make the most of your partnership with Covenant, it is important to understand what we do and why we do it. The following resources offer an excellent introduction to our educational philosophy and approach:
- An Introduction to Classical Education by Christopher A. Perrin
- Academics at Covenant
- Is a Classical Christian Education Right For Your Family?
3. Submit an Application
Submit an application and pay the nonrefundable $75 (per student) Application Fee (max of $225 per family; $25 per student for current families applying for a new sibling). An invitation to attend a Parent Partnership Interview will be extended after the application has been reviewed by the Admissions Committee.
Please Note: If you are applying for 11th or 12th grade, or if you’d like to apply for the current school year, please contact our Admissions Director:
Katie Broeg | 717.540.9885 ext. 232 | Katie.Broeg@DiscoverCovenant.com
4. Parent Partnership Interview
Qualified applicants will attend a Parent Partnership Interview with Covenant’s Dean and Head of School. The partnership interview is a vital part of the Admissions Process, helping you and the school to see whether Covenant is a place where your family will flourish. The interview provides a time for us to get to know one another more personally and to ask questions of one another. Whenever possible, mom and dad should both plan to attend the partnership interview. Students in grades 4 and up are also welcome to attend.
5. Academic Assessment
Applicants (excluding Pre-K) will be invited to participate in an Academic Assessment. These students will take an academic readiness assessment at their grade level to help us identify academic strengths and weaknesses and assure a good fit at Covenant. Our goal is to place each child in the grade that will lead to their greatest possible flourishing at Covenant.
6. Financial Aid
Families may begin applying for financial aid at any time in the Admissions Process. There is a nonrefundable $40 (per family) Application Fee.
7. Admissions Decision
Admissions Decisions and Financial Aid Awards will be communicated in conjunction after all previous steps are completed.
8. Enrollment
Families who receive an offer of admission can confirm their enrollment intention by completing online enrollment, which includes signing up for a tuition payment plan. Families must also pay the nonrefundable $250 (per family) Enrollment Fee ($200 for current families enrolling a new sibling) to reserve their child’s spot.
