In today’s world many parents have questions about school security and safety. Keeping our students safe is a fundamental priority and responsibility that we take very seriously. Over the last decade, Covenant has invested heavily in the physical security and surveillance of our campus. While we do not share the details of many of these improvements, we want to ensure parents that campus security is one of our top priorities.
We regularly review the safety and security procedures in our multi-hazard plan, conduct staff and age-appropriate training, and communicate with local law enforcement. In 2025 our campus received a comprehensive security assessment from the Pennsylvania State Police’s Risk and Vulnerability Assessment Team (RVAT).
In addition to physical security from surveillance and hardened infrastructure, Covenant’s Board has also made the decision to implement dual-role armed school security guards (SSGs) on campus.
Ultimately, we remember our dependence on the sovereign protection of the Lord. The Psalmist writes, “The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore” (Psalm 121:8). Thank you for joining us in prayer for the safety and protection of our students and our school.
