Lukeman and Carolina Harvey first started looking for a new school when their eldest son, who tested as gifted, was not being challenged enough in his public fifth-grade classroom. But they didn’t think they could afford private education.

“Our initial concern was finances because one parent was very ill and not able to work,” remembers Carolina. But after applying for financial aid, the Harveys discovered that a classical, Christian education was within their reach. “Covenant’s compassion for our situation and desire to serve our student matched their willingness to work with us.”

Lukeman and Carolina had originally planned to keep their children in public school. They weren’t looking for classical, Christian education; they were simply searching for a school where their son could thrive and be challenged. But they found a challenging academic environment and much more. “Covenant won us over with the staff, mission for education, and the school being centered around God.”

Since they came to Covenant in 2015, the Harveys’ eldest son has graduated and gone on to university. Their two younger sons are in their freshman and senior years at Covenant.

“Financial aid has changed the course of education for all three of our children,” Carolina says. “We are truly a grateful family.”
