Dr. Flora Armetta

Humanities Teacher

Flora began teaching at Covenant in 2015, when she and her family, with “eyes always on the Lord” (Psalm 16:8), moved to Harrisburg from New York City. She is grateful for the opportunity to work and worship with the wonderful faculty and students at Covenant, where her daughters also attend Grammar School. Flora earned B.A. degrees in Art History and Theater from Tufts University, a Masters in Theater from Columbia University, and a Ph.D. in English Literature from Columbia University. Along with years of teaching literature and writing, she has also worked for the Education Department at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and as a copy editor at The New Yorker magazine. She loves reading, travel, chocolate, spending time with her family, taking long walks, or visiting the many great cafés and coffee places Harrisburg has to offer.
